Record Multiple Audio Files on Each Page!

Very excited to finally introduce multiple audio recordings on a page for PRO Users. With multiple audio recordings, you can keep adding to your page until you’ve captured all your ideas! And, you can now name your recordings as well. Just tap or click in the name area to edit.

Audio recording editing interface with three tracks labeled 'Recording 1', 'New Rhythm', and 'Chorus Idea' showing play and pause controls, volume sliders, and delete icons, a recording button, and a timer at 00:00.

Behind the scenes, we’ve implemented an all new sync model for audio files. Now, when you duplicate songs and pages, the recordings that get duplicated won’t take up additional space on your device or in iCloud. (Yes, you can still delete recordings from any page as you normally would).

Add your Artist Name to your Songs

Now there’s a dedicated place to add your artist, songwriter, or composer name for each song. Or, you can enter a default name in the settings and it will be used for all songs automatically, so you don’t have to enter it each time. You can still add a unique name for any song if you so choose.

Zoom the Fretboard

Need to get closer for tapping or adding notes? Tap the Zoom button, and switch to either end of the fretboard with the control buttons. You can also go from chord to chord with the Next and Prev buttons.

You can also show and hide the Edit controls from the title bar button (3 dots in a circle), for a clean look if you don’t use them. (Don’t forget you can Copy, Cut, Paste, Duplicate, Insert, and Delete chords from the main page as well by long-pressing on a chord (right-click or control-click on Mac).

Chord Diagrams on Fretboard Editor in Portrait mode

On iPad, you will now see chord diagrams on the fretboard editor when the device is in portrait mode, for those who prefer to work in that orientation.

Save a Style as Default

In the Guitar Settings, you can now save any style as the default style for new songs. Previously the default was always the Automatic (Maple) which changes to Rosewood when your device is in dark mode. Just tap the Save as Default button to make any style the style for new Songs and Pages.

SongSight Imports

For simplification, SongSight imports are limited to the Song level. The option has been removed from the New Page button as this effectively did the same thing. And, when you import an image, SongSight will detect the Artist name and insert it into the song correctly.

Bug Fixes

Fixed a rare issue where the open strings and fretboard would be in the wrong orientation on iPhone or iPad, making the fretboard too small and the open strings stacked in the wrong direction.

Fixed a SongSight issue where multiple images would just not import if the images were darker or lower resolution.
